IOSH Managing Safely

This course introduces managers to the different aspects of managing health and safety in the workplace. It provides the knowledge and understanding to effectively manage health and safety within their responsibilities and reinforces why good health and safety is essential to performing their roles successfully.

IOSH Working Safely

Working safely is for people at any level, in any sector, needing grounding in the essentials of safety and health.
Everyone at work should have an understanding of why they must ‘work safely’ – and this one day course offers exactly that.
Working safely meets the government’s guidelines for introductory safety and health training and is a 100 per cent match to the Health and Safety Executive’s passport’ syllabus.


CITB Courses

CITB Health and Safety Awareness (HAS)

This course is designed for those who have just started work in the construction and civil engineering industries and covers how the main issues in construction safety affect will affect their daily role.

This course is the first step towards a CSCS Labourers Card (Green Card) and to the progressive CITB Site Safety Plus Suite of courses suitable for operatives up to senior manager and director level roles.


CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)

This two-day course is designed for those who have supervisory responsibilities and gives candidates an overview and understanding of the responsibility of supervising and overseeing safety in a site environment.

It is ideal for candidates who will progress to the five-day CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) at a later stage.


CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)

This five-day course is designed for those with management responsibilities and provides a detailed understanding the key health and safety issues relevant to their role. It covers all relevant legislation and is valid for five years from the date the course is successfully completed.


CITB Achieving Behavioural Change (ABC)

The Achieving Behavioural Change (ABC) one day course provides training on the benefits of adopting behavioural change, for all contractors who work on construction and civil engineering projects. This course is designed to provide delegates with an understanding of how attitude, behaviour, communication and worker engagement at all levels can help prevent the chances of accidents occurring! The course can be applied to any situation.

It features the use of the point of work assessment STAARR (Stop, Think, Assess, Act, Report and Review) and the TASK (Think first, Act safe, Stop if hazardous, and Keep safe) card. This is a simple dynamic risk assessment system used where contractors or suppliers through the life of a programme have not adopted their own system!


CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme Refresher Course (SSSTS-R)

This one day refresher course is for delegates who have previously passed the two day Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course and can provide proof of successful attendance.

It aims to bring health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. The course includes a wide range of topics which have been affected by the changes to procedures built upon the material in the original course.


CITB Site Management Safety training Scheme Refresher Course (SMSTS-R)

The Site Management Safety Training Scheme – Refresher (SMSTS-R) course (two-day) is for delegates who have previously passed the full SMSTS course or subsequent refresher course, and can provide proof of attendance. It aims to bring health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. The course includes a wide range of topics, many building on the previous five day course programme, as well as introducing new subjects.


CITB Directors Role for Health and Safety (DRHS)

This one-day interactive course has been designed for company Directors with the aim of recognising the human and financial implications of health and safety legislation non-compliance. The course will provide a summary of how to promote a positive organisational culture for health and safety. Workshop exercises throughout the day will give delegates the opportunity to discuss their thoughts about health and safety and their responsibilities in an open forum. The day concludes with delegates preparing an action plan for use when they return to the workplace. This will include a checklist to utilise within their organisations that will help to ensure compliance with legislation.


Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (OSHAS) 18001: 2007

We are accredited to the British Internationally accepted Health and Safety Management System Standard for all our operational activities, including the delivery of Health and Safety Training
